CONGREGATION OHAV EMETH POLICY REGARDING COVID

The following Shul policy is the strong recommendation of the Board and will be based on the honor system. We are a community.  Regardless of your personal choices please be considerate of the sensitivities of others.

  • Anyone, child or adult, who has been vaccinated does not need to be masked.
  • If you have received two doses of an mRNA vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) and are eligible for a booster consider taking it.
  • Vaccinated individuals with concerns about their health should consider being masked inside the Shul except when eating.
  • Unvaccinated adults are welcome but need to be masked at all times while inside the Shul, except when eating. When not eating they should replace their mask.
  • Children less than five years of age do not need to be masked.
  • Unvaccinated school-age children 5 to 18 years of age need to be masked except when eating until March 7th. Starting on March 8th, those children do not need to be masked, even if they are unvaccinated. This is based on the governor’s recommendation for masking in schools issued on February 7th.
  • If you have any COVID symptoms or not feeling well please stay home.

The Board recognizes that things are now changing rapidly, hopefully for the better, and there may be the need to modify this policy.  We plan to modify this policy as necessary to meet the needs of our congregation while protecting everyone’s health as best we can.
