Cranberry Chicken Exotic

1 Empire chicken cut in eights or just the pieces you like best
oil to cover frying pan
1 can cranberry sauce mashed
1 cup Kedem Concord Wine or another Sweet Red Kedem Wine
1 cup raisins
1 tsp lemon juice
3 whole cloves
1 tsp cinnamon


Brown chicken in a frying pan in oil on both sides (oil can now be removed to lessen fat content). Pour the rest of the ingredients over the chicken. Cook on a low flame covered until tender. Serve hot.


Mushroom & Chicken

1 4 lb Empire chicken, cut into portions
1 cup water
1 cup white Kedem Wine
1 lb mushrooms
1 heaping tsp chicken soup mix
Dash of pepper
Garlic powder
1 Tbsp mushroom soup mix


Combine all of the ingredients, except the garlic powder, together in a large pot. Sprinkle the chicken portions generously with garlic powder. Place the chicken in the pot with other ingredients and simmer covered for one and 1 1/2 hours until the chicken is tender. Serve hot.

Hint: Good chicken for Seder as it is not roasted but made on the stove top.
