Congregation Ohav Emeth

BS'D

Sisterhood

The Ohav Emeth Sisterhood is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing social, cultural, educational and fundraising events for the Ohav Emeth community. We strive to present programs of quality to enhance the lives of our members and their children. Many of our programs focus on raising funds to support the needs of our congregation. We help to fund the Shabbat morning youth programs, beautification of our physical surroundings as well as the purchase of new equipment for the shul.

We publish a quarterly newsletter Sisterhood Bytes & Sites (PDF). Our newsletter details our upcoming programs, fund-raising activities and other items of interest.

The Sisterhood has published two cookbooks: a general Kosher cookbook, The Ohav Emeth Sisterhood Cookbook and a Pesach Cookbook, Not By Matzo Alone. Two of our annual fund-raising projects are: preparing and delivering delicious Shaloch Manos on Purim for Shul members, and preparing and delivering a handsome Father's Day breakfast, with gifts, for the Dads in our community!

As they say: "Membership has rewards!" Become a member of our sisterhood and you will be invited to our annual dinner and a batch of other fun and exciting programs throughout the year (certain programs require an extra entrance fee, but the annual dinner is free to paid members). Annual membership cost $36 per year. Please click here for a membership application (PDF).

We encourage your participation and involvement. We hope to see you at our next event!
