This is a community-based organization servicing the needs of homebound and hospitalized Jewish patients. The services they provide include hospital and homebound visitation, transportation, provision of food, a blood donation program, and organized daily prayer for the sick. Bikur Cholim members also make provision for other religious needs of patients. They welcome calls for information and new volunteers.

The Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the provision of a therapeutic environment for the Jewish aged who are no longer able to live independently in their respective communities. CNJJHA provides a full scope of medical services, social services, 24-hour nursing care, glatt kosher meals, and recreation activities for its residents.

Rutgers Hillel provides opportunities for Jewish students to meet other Jews, and provides individual religious counseling and teaching, informal Judaic courses, Shabbat services, holiday programs, and Jewish awareness to area Jewish undergraduates, graduates, and faculty on Rutgers University campuses. Students participate in many community-wide social service projects.

The Jewish Community Center has an active Senior Club and offers a gamut of programs and activities, including adult social activities that serve single adults and senior citizens in a warm, caring Jewish environment. Room rentals are also available.

The Jewish Family & Vocational Service provides comprehensive social services, therapy, and career and vocational counseling. Ongoing services include couples, family, and individual counseling for men, women, adolescents, and children; consultation; needs assessments and case management for the elderly and their families; ELDERDAY Care (social kosher adult day care program); kosher Meals-on-Wheels; caregiver services; CHAT (counseling for groups of homebound adults on the telephone); companions for the frail elderly; extensive volunteer services; resettlement; group work services for a variety of populations; adoption services; Jewish family life education workshops; and a myriad of other services.

The Jewish Family Service of Southern Middlesex County offers a comprehenesive program of social services for residents of central and southern Middlesex County. JFS programs include professional counseling for individuals, couples, and families; support groups; elder care services; kosher Meals-on-Wheels; children's counseling center; addiction recovery services; adoption resource center; resettlement services; holiday food programs; and emergency food bank.
